One thing I love to do at Christmas time is bake! Who's with me? So I thought I would share some of my favorite recipes to make. I'm not switching gears here, I just like to bake this time of year and figured someone else probably does, too. And who doesn't love a new recipe? =)
Here is the first of my favorite recipes to make this time of year. Oreo Balls! (There is a link at the bottom of the post for the printable recipe.)
This one is really easy but very yummy! I hope you like it!
- Cream cheese, softened
- Almond bark, melted
Crush Oreos using a food processor or blender until fine.
Mix with softened cream cheese.
The mixture will end up looking something like...well....mud. =)
Form into small balls and place on wax paper. Chill.
I use a toothpick and spoon to cover the balls so I don't get the almond bark all dirty.
After removing it from the toothpick, I dip a separate toothpick in the almond bark and fill in the empty spot made by the toothpick I had stuck in the Oreo ball.
Once all are dipped, chill again. Enjoy!
- Use a small cookie scoop to form the balls into equal sizes.
- Only melt 5 or 6 squares of almond bark at a time.
- I store mine in an old ice cream pail in the freezer. They don't take long to soften up to eat!
